My Big Why

I have been overweight pretty much my entire life and I have tried lots of weight loss methods over the years. Most have resulted in some level of success, but I haven’t been able to stick with any long term.

I am currently following the Nerd Fitness Academy plan. Not every aspect of this plan appeals to me, for instance, I don’t have any interest in following a paleo diet; however, as a lifetime gamer, I do find the questing aspect of the academy appealing.

My current quest is to find my “big why.” My main reason for wanting to lose weight is to be free of the restrictions it puts on my life. I no longer want to be limited in the physical activities I can participate in, the chairs I can sit on, the stadium seats I can fit in, etc. by my weight and physical condition. Additionally, I have high blood pressure, high lipids and chronic pain that should all be improved by losing weight.
